Founded in 2023, Moonshot AI quickly became one of China’s most promising AI startups, backed by major investors such as Alibaba and Tencent. With more than $2 billion in funding, the company’s valuation rapidly grew to around $20 billion, highlighting the growing momentum of China’s AI ecosystem.

In addition, Kimi K3 includes Native Vision capabilities, enabling it to understand both text and images within the same model.

Another key advantage is its Open-weight availability, allowing developers and organizations to deploy, customize, and further optimize the model for their own applications and business needs.
