PTT, WHAUP together with Sertis develop "Smart Energy Platform" for energy management through AI and Blockchain technology

Mr. Noppadol Pinsupa (center), Senior Executive Vice President, Innovation and Digital, PTT Public Company Limited, Ms. Jareeporn Jarukornsakul (3rd left), Chairman and Group CEO, WHA Corporation PCL and Chairman of the Board of Directors, WHA Utilities and Power Plc. and Mr. Tachakorn Vachiramon (3rd right), Chief Executive Office, Sertis, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Smart Energy Platform. Under this MOU, Sertis jointly developed a platform to optimise electricity management using AI and Blockchain Technology to sell solar energy within WHA Group’s industrial estates. This platform will allow transactions to be decentralized and processed automatically without being controlled by any single party, making data management and transactions more secure and transparent between each of the buildings in the industrial estates.

This collaboration was selected as part of the Energy Regulatory Commission Sandbox (ERC Sandbox) program run by Energy Regulatory Commission of Thailand and Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), under the Microgrid electricity management system. The Smart Energy Platform developed between PTT, WHAUP and Sertis will help make alternative energy management more efficient and will result in better energy stability.

นายนพดล ปิ่นสุภา (กลาง) รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่นวัตกรรมและดิจิทัล บริษัท ปตท. จำกัด (มหาชน) (ปตท.) นางสาวจรีพร จารุกรสกุล (ที่ 3 จากซ้าย) ประธานคณะกรรมการบริษัท และประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารกลุ่ม บริษัท ดับบลิวเอชเอ คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) และประธานคณะกรรมการบริษัท ดับบลิวเอชเอ ยูทิลิตี้ส์ แอนด์ พาวเวอร์ จำกัด (มหาชน) นายธัชกรณ์ วชิรมน (ที่ 3 จากขวา) ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและผู้ก่อตั้ง บริษัท เซอร์ทิส จำกัด (Sertis) ลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือการพัฒนาระบบ Smart Energy Platform ระหว่าง บริษัท ปตท. จำกัด (มหาชน) บริษัท ดับบลิวเอชเอ ยูทิลิตี้ส์ แอนด์ พาวเวอร์ จำกัด (มหาชน) และบริษัท เซอร์ทิส จำกัด โดย “ระบบบริหารจัดการพลังงานอัจฉริยะด้วยดิจิทัล” หรือ “Smart Energy Platform” ได้ทำการศึกษาและพัฒนา สำหรับการซื้อขายไฟฟ้าจากพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ ในพื้นที่นิคมอุตสาหกรรมของดับบลิวเอชเอ โดยใช้เทคโนโลยีเอไอ และบล็อกเชน (Blockchain) ช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพด้านความปลอดภัยในการทำธุรกรรมและอำนวยความสะดวกการซื้อขายพลังงาน ระหว่างผู้ผลิตไฟฟ้ารายย่อยกับผู้ใช้พลังงาน

นอกจากนี้ระบบดังกล่าวยังได้รับการคัดเลือกให้มีสิทธิ์เข้าร่วมโครงการทดสอบนวัตกรรมที่นำเทคโนโลยีมาสนับสนุนการให้บริการพลังงาน (Energy Regulatory Commission Sandbox ERC Sandbox) จัดโดยคณะกรรมการกำกับกิจการพลังงาน (กกพ.) ร่วมกับการไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค (กฟภ.) ซึ่งเป็นโครงการนำร่องเพื่อศึกษาการซื้อขายไฟฟ้า รองรับโครงการผลิตไฟฟ้าขนาดเล็กไม่ผ่านระบบจำหน่าย (Microgrid) เพื่อขยายผลการใช้งานไปยังพื้นที่อุตสาหกรรมทำให้เกิดการบริหารจัดการการใช้พลังงานทางเลือกอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพส่งเสริมการพัฒนานวัตกรรมพลังงานยั่งยืน
