CPF & Sertis elevate the livestock industry with AI by producing Smart Farm for Thailand 4.0

CPF collaborates with Sertis to jointly develop technology for farm management, "CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis." For the first time in Thailand by using Artificial Intelligence that can analyse, process and make independent decisions through studying large amounts of data applied to the animal husbandry industry in order to create Smart Farm. This encourages people to work safer, quicker, more efficiently, creating a new standard for the Thai agriculture business to strive for international excellence.

On September 19th 2019, Mr. Rewat Hathaisattayapong, Executive Vice President of CPF (Thailand) Public Company Limited, together with Mr.Tee Vachiramon, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Sertis, and Mr. Tongchai Detintaranarak, Farm owner of Khao Aom, joined the press conference to launch the project "CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis" at the True Branding Shop, 3rd floor, in Siam Paragon.

Mr. Rewat Hathaisattayapong, Executive Vice President of CPF (Thailand) Public Company Limited, stated "CPF is a leader in the agro-industrial business. Our business operations include Animal Feed Production, Animal Husbandry and Food Production. CPF is committed to quality product development, farm management and improving the livestock industry, as well as promoting entrepreneurs; farm owners and farmers that use technology in their business can compete and stay relevant.

‘CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis’ is a project that CPF has collaborated with Sertis to develop technology for farm management. This is an intelligent farm management system that combines AI and Computer Vision to raise the level of biosecurity, which is the most important part of the livestock industry. This involves monitoring and documenting the performance of employees, and facilitating the livestock farm operators. For the next phase, we will use AI to monitor the health of the animals. CPF believe that Sertis, a leading AI company, can use their expertise to further develop an intelligent management system that reduces potential problems on the farm.

‘CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis’ has helped enhance the potential of becoming a model farm, which has a safe working process where checks can be made at high-risk points at every step. It has helped enhance CPF’s food production service with advanced technology. CPF is proud to offer this technology to their customers so they may have sustainable growth for their business.”

Mr.Tee Vachiramon, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Sertis Company Limited, stated "Sertis is honoured and pleased to be part of the development of Intelligent Farm Management technology, ‘CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis.’ The company has applied our expertise in Artificial Intelligence to help promote biosecurity on the farm. The product can help monitor staff performance 24 hours a day through cameras that have been installed in high-risk areas on the farm. Then, the AI system will analyse the data from the received images and notify relevant parties immediately if a staff member is seen trespassing to an unauthorised area. This is done through the ‘LINE’ application by sending notifications and snapshots and an analysis that allows farm owners, managers and other relevant supervisors to review historical data collected in a database displayed on the Dashboard to analyse the cause of the problem and improve operations to ensure maximum security.

In addition, working with CPF continues to promote the concept and commitment of Sertis in bringing technology to solve problems and developing the country to increase competitiveness in the digital age, beginning with the agricultural sector. It also creates guidelines for the use of technology suitable for various business sectors, helping continuously keep up with the times."

Mr. Tongchai Detintaranarak, Farm owner at Khao Aom, said that "The Khao Aom Farm, a ranch in Ratchaburi province, is to operate as a prototype. By considering the delivery of the best products to customers and giving importance to the use of technology in farm management. The farm has collaborated with a team of experts and veterinarians from CPF. The area within the farm is clearly divided into zones. Including establishing operational measures in each area that restrict employees from entering areas that are not permitted, in order to prevent the infectious spread of disease on the farm such as ‘ASF’ (African Cholera) in pigs, ‘Foot-and-mouth disease’ in poultry, and other epidemics. With the view that digital technology plays a very important role in today’s business operations it is a good opportunity to bring ‘CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis’ technology to be tested at Khao Aom Farm. We are confident that this system will greatly enhance the efficiency of business operations; bringing the technology into full use raises the standards of the industry to be faster, safer, and more modern. สำหรับโครงการ “CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis” เป็นโครงการที่ซีพีเอฟ ร่วมกับ เซอร์ทิส ในการนำเทคโนโลยี

เอไอ และ Computer Vision มาพัฒนาระบบบริหารและจัดการฟาร์ม โดยเริ่มที่การยกระดับความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ (Biosecurity) หรือระบบป้องกันโรค ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจหลักของการเลี้ยงสัตว์เป็นส่วนแรกและยังเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกให้ผู้ประกอบการฟาร์มปศุสัตว์ในการติดตามและควบคุมการปฏิบัติงานของพนักงานได้อย่างสะดวกและรวดเร็วยิ่งขึ้น สำหรับการพัฒนาในส่วนถัดไปเราตั้งใจที่จะต่อยอดการนำเทคโนโลยีเอไอเข้ามาช่วยติดตามและประเมินสุขภาพสัตว์ ซึ่งเป็นอีกส่วนงานที่มีความสำคัญต้องอาศัยความเชี่ยวชาญในการวิเคราะห์และด้วยความร่วมมือจากบริษัทชั้นนำอย่าง “เซอร์ทิส” เราเชื่อว่าจะสามารถพัฒนาต่อยอดระบบเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพและลดความเสียหายให้กับฟาร์มเลี้ยงสัตว์ของลูกค้าอาหารสัตว์ได้

นายธี วชิรมน ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและผู้ก่อตั้ง บริษัท เซอร์ทิส จำกัด เปิดเผยว่า “เซอร์ทิส รู้สึกเป็นเกียรติและยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้ร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีบริหารและจัดการฟาร์มอัจฉริยะในชื่อ “CPF AI FarmLab Powered by Sertis” จากความเชี่ยวชาญทางด้านเทคโนโลยีเอไอในการนำมาใช้ควบคุมการทำงานในแง่ของระบบความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพภายในฟาร์ม โดยทำหน้าที่ตรวจสอบเฝ้าระวัง (Monitoring) การปฏิบัติงานของพนักงานได้ตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง ผ่านกล้องวงจรปิดที่ถูกติดตั้งในพื้นที่ที่มีความเสี่ยงภายในฟาร์ม ระบบเอไอจะตรวจจับและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากภาพที่ได้รับ และแจ้งเตือนให้ผู้เกี่ยวข้องทราบในทันที (Violation Detection and Notification) หากพบว่ามีพนักงานสัญจรเข้าไปในพื้นที่ที่ไม่ได้รับอนุญาตผ่านทางแอปพลิเคชันไลน์ (Line) โดยการส่งข้อความ แจ้งเตือนและภาพถ่าย snapshot นอกจากนี้ เจ้าของฟาร์มและผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องสามารถตรวจสอบข้อมูลสถิติย้อนหลัง ซึ่งถูกเก็บรวบรวมไว้ในฐานข้อมูลที่แสดงผลบนแดชบอร์ด (Dashboard) เพื่อวิเคราะห์หาสาเหตุของปัญหาและพัฒนาปรับปรุงการดำเนินงานให้เกิดความปลอดภัยสูงสุด ทั้งนี้การได้ร่วมมือกับซีพีเอฟยังเป็นการส่งเสริมแนวคิดและความมุ่งมั่นของเซอร์ทิสในการนำเทคโนโลยีมาแก้ไขปัญหาและพัฒนาประเทศเพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถทางการแข่งขันในยุคดิจิทัล โดยเริ่มจากภาคการเกษตร อีกทั้งยังเป็นการสร้างแนวทางในการนำเทคโนโลยีไปใช้ให้เหมาะสมกับภาคธุรกิจต่างๆ ให้ก้าวทันยุคสมัยอย่างต่อเนื่อง”
